Inuyasha was the first anime that I got into that I knew was made in Japan, had watched previous animes but since they were dubbed I didn't really know they weren't made in America. A show I watched on Adult Swim during my first fits of insomnia. It was from this show that I made my first otaku friend since we would spend Chemistry talking about Inuyasha and later that year D&D. The show I used to reveal to my mother that I liked anime. So you could imagine my joy when I saw the ending of the anime. :fit: It was from this strong desire for an ending that really pushed me into reading manga, which I now spend more time doing than watching anime. Honestly, my rage didn't quell that much since the manga is one power-up arc after another where only every 100 chapters does a any true character growth and/or plot advancement occur. But I couldn't deny my love for Takahashi Rumiko's characters. Despite so many troubles and annoyances I have had with the Inuyasha series, I was so glad and yet sad at the same time to see the series end.
My past aside, the ending had everything I wanted. I was so happy, it had a true ending (not like Ranma 1/2 that still left room for more adventures). Tough I did want to see a quarter-demon running around within the last pages. :T_T: |

Yeah, I heard that it has a sweet ending. Now I really want to start reading Inuyasha, since I'm officially on my holidays now! But first, I really need to finish Death Note @_@ It has been on my computer for ages..

I will repeat that the manga is sorta of disappointing because of one power-up arc after another. But I was already in love with the characters so despite those disappointments the ending was very satisfying. Though you won't have the same joy as those that stayed up to date with it and got to always guess "Is this the last battle?"

Lol, yeah.. Guess I won't be able to share that joy of guessing if it's the last battle as well as the joy of looking forward to the next chapters.
But yeah, I'm looking forward to reading it :) |
